Player Development Program & High Intensity Interval Training

This program is designed for boys U11–U15 who want to build strength, improve balance, and boost performance. Training takes place on sand, which increases muscular effort, enhances core stability, and reduces injury risk. Each session combines technical drills with high-intensity interval training to improve speed, endurance, and ball control. Led by Coach JP Roncoli, this unique outdoor program prepares players to perform better in real game situations.

Summer Sand Training Program

Coach JP’s summer soccer program at Sherwood Island State Park uses sand-based training to boost player strength, balance, and control. The uneven surface builds stronger legs and core muscles while reducing injury risk. It also helps players improve ball control, quick thinking, and passing accuracy. Perfect for young athletes looking to grow faster and play smarter. The training program details are as follows:

  • Boys U11–U15 | Fridays at 6:30 PM
  • July 11 – August 29
  • Sherwood Island State Park, Westport, CT

La Palla FBD – Futsal Based Development

What is futsal?

Futsal is a fast-paced, indoor variant of soccer played on a hard court, typically the size of a basketball court. It involves five players per team, including a goalkeeper, and uses a smaller, low-bounce ball. Futsal emphasizes close control, quick footwork, and strategic passing in a confined space, making it a great skill developer for soccer players.

Program Objective:

La Palla FBD is designed to enhance soccer players’ technical development through the core concepts of futsal. The smaller space, faster pace, and unique demands of the game provide the ideal environment for building technical quality and game intelligence.
